A Shiba Inu's life

Dog Beach

We met a couple of  Basenjis at the Dog Beach.  Sienna got to play with one of them for a little bit.  For the most part, we were playing by ourselves and checking out humans baking under the sun.  A couple of bikini clad girls thought we were “super” cute.  We heard a lot of  “oh look, shibas” as we wander around the beach.   An excitable boy, showing off his jellyfish to his friend was nearby and I barked at him.  I didn’t like his wet suit.   He barked back at me and I got louder.   Then we got distracted when Dad went into the water.  We followed him.  Sienna went as far as she could while Dad tried to entice her to come closer.  Then we lost sight of Dad as he dove in and swam further.  Mom tried to entertain us by playing fetch and Sienna accommodated her.  I, on the other hand, was looking out for Dad.  He finally came out of the water and we played fetch.  Mom was trying to get Sienna out of the shallow area because it was muddy.  Sienna likes mud and Mom doesn’t want to bathe her for the umpteenth time.   Then Sienna veered off and circled around the lifeguard tower.  She did her business and the lifeguard with his OP sunglasses gave Mom a look.  I wanted to say, not to worry to the guy since I know Mom’s on the case.  She was just looking for a doggie bag in her BIG bag.

Greeting the 2 Basenjis that arrived

This guy wouldn’t leave our area so I had to give him a warning.

Waiting for Dad
